Patch Test for Eyelash extensions at Beauty escape London

Updated: May 9

We provide not only a personalized and elegant consultation for each client but also offer a patch test to ensure safety and comfort. Prior to your appointment, we will send you an eyelash extension consent form via email, along with an invitation to a patch test, if necessary.

DO I NEED A PATCH TEST?

You do not need to patch test lash adhesive. However all clients must be offered the option of a patch test. Clients have the right to choose to go ahead if they have concerns.

We strongly recommend a patch test to clients that never had eyelash extensions before. A patch test should be completed at least 24h before your scheduled appointment.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT

It is important that the client is fully educated of the potential risk that might happen with lash adhesive reactions and for them to make an informed decision. Patch testing for adhesive cannot provide 100% conclusive results, this is because a very small amount of adhesive has been used.

HOW DO WE PATCH TEST?

The patch test would be a direct application of a 3-5 lash extensions on your eyelashes.

We will never apply the adhesive on your skin. Cyanoacrylate in lash adhesive is a skin irritant, and during the treatment it should never touch the skin.

We would Patch test on your skin only Primer or Bonder.

WHAT IF I HAVE A REACTION?

We offer to remove your lashes with proper technique; if needed.

You should not be struggling taking them off, as we apply only a few lash extensions and hence the small amount of product used they should come off with using oil and gentle rub.

In extreme cases of reaction you should seek medical advice.

If no reaction occurs we are happy to go ahead with your treatment.
